We are a public-facing library that offers resources for students, staff, faculty, and community members. Use the tabs below to figure out which services are available to you!

Students and community members in the Dalles have access to:

  • Books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, and magazines
    • If we don't have what you're looking for, we can borrow it for you through Interlibrary Loan
  • On-campus computers with Internet, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office software
  • Math and Writing tutoring: see the Tutoring schedule for hours
  • Study rooms (available on a first-come, first-serve basis)
  • Printing, copying, and scanning
  • Course materials (for limited checkouts or on-campus use)
  • On-campus and remote access to research databases 
  • Laptops (available for the term on a first-come, first-serve basis.)

Students and community members in Hood River have access to:

  • Books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, and magazines
    • Search the library catalog and use the "Place Hold" link. Select CGCC Hood River Campus as your pick-up location. A librarian will contact you when your request becomes available.
    • If we don't have what you're looking for, we can borrow it for you through Interlibrary Loan
  • Laptops (available to students for term-length checkouts on a first-come, first-serve basis.)
    • Contact a librarian to arrange a pick-up time.

If you're a CGCC student who is working off campus, you can: 

  • Access your library account to place holds and search our catalogs and databases:
    • After you enroll, you automatically have access to the library catalog and databases. You do not need a physical card to get access to the library off campus. To log in, your username is CGCC------- (the dashes are to be replaced with your ID number), and the passcode is the last four digits of your phone number. If you have trouble logging in, contact the library (ext. 6081) for a password reset. 
  • Students, faculty, and CGCC staff who are not regularly on campus can request materials be mailed to their homes. Contact us for mailing information.

Instructors at CGCC (from any location) can contact the library for:

  • Library tours and database tutorials: available in both locations and for online and hybrid courses.
  • Course research guides: collaborate with a librarian to develop a lesson plan that incorporates library resources into your Moodle shell. Lessons can can include resource evaluation, copyright, and citation guidance. They can also be customized to enhance a specific assignment.
  • Instructional technology: lighting and webcams are available to check out for the term to support online instruction
  • Course reserve requests: library-owned or faculty-purchased items may be placed on reserve, so students can access them for limited checkouts and on-campus work
  • OER and copyright support: for faculty or students
