Thursday August 7th—Celebrate President Tim Cook’s 

multi-marathon run at CGCC in Hood River!

Tim Cook, president of Clackamas Community College, will soon finish a unique journey: running 1,500 miles between all 17 of Oregon’s community collegesto raise support for the basic needs of Oregon’s community college students.

 

President Cook’s adventure culminates at CGCC, and we can’t wait for our community to give him a hero’s welcome at the Event Site in Hood River!
 

Run the last mile with Tim or cheer him across the finish line!

CGCC is honored to be President Cook’s final destination. Join us to cheer him in, learn about his journey, and connect with colleagues and friends for a truly memorable morning.

 

 

Schedule

  • 8:00am – Runners and walkers, meet at CGCC’s Hood River campus to run with Tim Cook the last 2.5 miles down Indian Creek Trail to the Event Site.

  • 9:00am – President Cook breaks the tape at the finish line!

  • 9:15am  – Community cold plunge—refresh and celebrate with a dip in the mighty Columbia.

  • Enjoy coffee, tea, fresh bagels, and seasonal local fruits

  • CGCC President Lawson will tell us what’s new at our local community college

  • Explore local health initiatives from One Community Health CEO Jennifer Griffin

  • Meet local adventurer Bob Kenyon and members of the CGCC cross country team

  • First 50 plungers get a CGCC Cross Country hat.

 

When & Where

  • August 7th in Hood River

  • 8am – Runners and walkers can meet at CGCC's Hood River campus to run the final 2.5 miles to the finish line.

    • Campus address: 1730 College Way, Hood River.

  • 9am – everyone meets at the Hood River Event Site to cheer President Cook across the finish line.

    • Address: Hood River Event Site, 110 Portway Ave, Hood River
