Do you have clothing with rips or holes that you're not ready to let go of yet? Infuse your garments with new life at this visible mending workshop so that you can enjoy wearing them for years to come.

Stop by the CGCC Library between 4โ€“6:30 PM on September 25 for a crash course in repairing your garments. All you need to bring is your clothing in need of repair. Patches, needles, thread, and a sewing machine will be provided. All skill levels welcome. Open to all members of the CGCC community and their friends. This workshop will be taught in English, with an optional translation app and physical demonstrations.

At this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Patch rips
  • Replace buttons
  • Enlarge pockets that are too small
  • Hem skirts, pants, and shirts
  • Darn small holes in sweaters & other knit garments
  • Reinforce with decorative sashiko embroidery
