More about the film:

Before the 1970s, individuals with disabilities often encountered lives marked by exclusion, prejudice, and confinement in institutions. But in 1971, a group of teens attending Camp Jened found something radically different: a sense of freedom and recognition of their full humanity. In time, the campers discovered the power of protest, civil resistance, and civic engagement to ignite a movement, carve a new path toward justice, and reshape the future for countless others.
