Background

I have been working at Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) since 1997. I began work as an Academic Advisor. The first class I taught was CG 100 (College Survival and Success) in 1998. I began teaching Psychology classes in 1999. I also occasionally teach CG 111 (College Study Skills). Currently I teach the majority of my classes online or as hybrids. I have come to enjoy teaching online classes; I still get to know the students in my courses, but love the freedom that online teaching has given me.

I have been trained and certified as a Peer Reviewer, Master Reviewer and Peer Reviewer Trainer for Quality Matters, a nationally recognized program that focuses on a peer-based approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement in online education. All of my courses have been recognized by Quality Matters.

Born and raised in Canada, I have lived in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia. I finally moved to the US in 1995 when I met and married a great guy from The Dalles.
