Background

John has taught history and political science for more than 20 years in New York City and at various colleges in the northwest. He teaches a variety of history, political science classes (including ones on terrorism, revolutions, and other forms of political violence) as well as classes on histories of various parts of the world including Mexico, Middle East, and Russia. 

John has extensive experience as a consultant and guest lecturer on Soviet Affairs, Politics and History.
