Commencement
2025 Commencement Ceremony
Columbia Gorge Community College is excited to celebrate our graduating students this year! We will be hosting an in-person commencement ceremony. The event will also be streamed live.
Commencement Ceremony is Friday, TBD at 3 p.m. in the Fort Dalles Readiness Center at The Dalles Campus, 400 East Scenic Drive, The Dalles.
All degree and certificate and GED students who completed or plan to complete fall 2025, winter 2026, spring 2026, or summer 2026 are eligible to participate and encouraged to attend.
At the ceremony, graduating students will arrive in cap and gown and have the opportunity to:
- Have their name announced
- Get their diploma cover
- Walk across stage
- Be congratulated by our honored guests, including college leadership and Board of Education members
- Be celebrated by the CGCC community and their fellow students
Caps and gowns will be available for purchase in the Campus Store on The Dalles Campus beginning Monday, TBD.
The Campus Store hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00p.m.; Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m,
Cost for the cap, gown, & tassel package is $38.00.
GRADUATING STUDENTS:
- Complete a Graduation Petition 1-2 terms before graduation.
- Complete the Commencement Questionnaire when it opens and before the last week of graduation.
- Review the Commencement Day Instructions (PDF).
- Please arrive at Building 10 (National Guard Armory) on Friday, TBD, at 1:30 pm.
- Diplomas will be mailed to your address on record 4-6 weeks after graduation (typically by the end of July).
