Disability Resources exists to assure equal educational opportunities and access for students with disabilities through provision of reasonable accommodations and a supportive environment. Please make an appointment as soon as possible to begin the process of requesting these services.

Refer to the Disability Resources Handbook for a general overview of services, requirements and responsibilities.

Requesting Services or Accommodations

Application
The best first step is to complete the Disability Resources Application for services in AIM.  This ensures we have an idea of your needs and a student profile in AIM prior to your intake appointment.

Intake Appointment
Next, schedule a Disability Intake appointment.  At this appointment we will further review your individual, unique needs for support and the accommodations that will be implemented.

Documentation
We will also discuss basic documentation requirements at this appointment, or you are welcome to bring whatever documentation you already have to your intake.  Here is the form that most use to request documentation from their support providers, when needed.

Questions or Need Help?
However, if you need help with any step in this process or have questions before getting started, please contact the Student Support Services Coordinator at any time.

Helpful timeframes to keep in mind
It is best to request services at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the term to ensure the availability of appropriate and timely services. Students using sign language or who may require other specialized equipment or support may need to contact Disability Resources at least 4 weeks prior to the beginning of each term.

Students who have completed the process outlined above and determined eligible for services, must request their accommodations each term through the AIM system.  Multiple reminder emails will go out a couple of week prior to the start of each term to complete this request.
