Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential

The most widely recognized credential in early childhood education (ECE) and is a key stepping stone on the path of career advancement in ECE. We are working with providers to earn their CDA credential.

Early Childhood Education and Family Studies Program

Columbia Gorge Community College’s program is designed to accommodate part-time and full-time students. Early Education courses can be used to fulfill training and education requirements for family child care providers and child care teachers in Oregon.

My Oregon Registry Online
myORO is a convenient new professional development tool of the Oregon Registry. If you work in Oregon’s childhood care and education field, use myORO to track your training and education, help you to plan for future training and education, and customize your professional development experience.
Oregon Registry Credentials

State-approved Oregon Registry credentials recognize a professional’s knowledge, skills and achievements in order to improve the quality of services and thereby increase positive outcomes for children and families.

Oregon Registry Education Award

When you apply for a Step 3 through 12 on the Oregon Registry, you may be eligible for an Education Award. To receive an Education Award, you must be working in an Office of Child Care licensed facility or you must be a Department of Human Services (DHS) active provider.

Oregon Registry Step Application

Use this form, when requesting a Step in the Oregon Registry.  As a licensed provider you automatically qualify for a Step 1 and automatically move to a Step 2 when you renew your license.  To move to a Step 3 or above, you must apply for a Step increase.

Oregon Registry: Pathways for Professional Recognition in Childhood Care and Education

Track your professional development. You may qualify for an Education Award for increased hours of education and training.

View and Reflect

View and Reflect is an approach that enables child care providers to receive additional training when participants have barriers to attending trainings in a classroom setting.  The View and Reflect Distance Learning Program will consist of viewing videos and completing reflection and professional action activity worksheets that are relevant to the information shared on the video.
