Training: Writing for the Web
We all write constantly - email, press releases, presentations and reports. But what makes the web different? What makes it special, and how do we create easily consumable content?
In this three-hour training, Paul Irving from Insite Web Publishing taught the basic considerations and techniques necessary for writing web content:
- Concise, scannable pages
- Use of links
- Creating structure using headings and titles
- Paragraph and sentence considerations
- Best practises for web lists
- Dos and Don'ts of tables
Most of the 25 participants said they were excited to start applying what they learned. This training will be repeated in the future, and is required training for all website content contributors.
