Scholarship applications open Feb. 5, 2018

The  full-year scholarship application will be available Monday, Feb. 5. Applications may be found in the CGCC Student Services department at The Dalles Campus or Hood River-Indian Creek Campus as well as online at https://www.cgcc.edu/financial-aid/scholarships.

Applications must be delivered to the CGCC Student Services department in The Dalles or Hood River no later than 5 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018.

Financial aid workshops offered through October

CGCC students and prospective students are invited to participate in several opportunities to learn about financial aid. Financial aid application workshops are designed to help you complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), ORSAA (Oregon Student Aid Application) and WASFA (Washington Application for Student Aid) applications.

If you are a current student or potential student planning to attend college in the fall of 2018-19, now is the time to submit your application for consideration for financial aid. Some funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s important to apply now in order to be considered. These financial aid applications opened Oct. 1, 2017.

CGCC Holding FAFSA Nights start in October

FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and the 2018-19 opportunity will be available on the FAFSA.gov website Oct. 1.

Knowledgeable staff at the Hood River and The Dalles campuses of Columbia Gorge Community College will be available every Thursday evenings (5:30 to 8 pm) and Friday mornings (9 to 11:30 am in Hood River, 11:30 am to 2 pm in The Dalles) to assist people with FAFSA's and financial aid.

As you may be aware the lack of personal money management skills causes a wide variety of economic and social concerns, many of which directly affect us here at CGCC.
