Dr. Rebecca A. Schwartz has served as a full time professional in academia since 2008, and is currently the Dean of Academic Pathways for Columbia Gorge Community College.  She has held academic and administrative positions at Texas Tech University, Weber State University, Western Kentucky University, and Takeo Board of Education.  Her professional experience includes recruitment, human resource, administration, financial aid, and alumni relations.  Her academic work centers on leadership and policy, especially as it relates to executive level decision-making.  She specializes in high impact programs and student success as well as ethical policy creation as examined through a historical lens.
