Background

Diana is full-time lead faculty for the nursing program and enjoys time spent mentoring nursing students the most.  It is watching CGCC nursing students grow and develop into sound novice nurses that gives her much reward.  Diana is a longtime resident of The Dalles and spends her free time working in her garden, reading, knitting, with family, and walking her dogs Gunner and Teal on the River Front Trail.

Diana graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pacific University in 1991, received her Associate Degree of Nursing from CGCC in 2004, and her Masters of Science Nursing from Walden University in 2012.  She has a broad foundation of clinical experience in a variety of settings including medical-surgical, family birth, critical care, long term and assisted living care, and mental health trauma-informed care. Diana remains actively involved in Fire and Emergency Medical Services and Nursing in the Mid-Columbia region. She currently serves as a Board Director for Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue.
