Course Description

Examines social media platforms, tools and strategies. Covers social media policy, legal considerations and community etiquette. Prerequisites: WR 115, RD 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement test scores. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify the uses of social media as a marketing tool.
  2. Develop a social media marketing project designed to market a product or company.
  3. Identify guidelines for terms of service, copyright laws, privacy and community etiquette.
