Financial Aid for Study Abroad USG Office of International Education USG Office of International Education Financial Aid information, including STARS (Students Abroad with Regents Support) grants and scholarships.
Regents Work and Study Abroad Stipends: Special on-campus student employment positions may be available for students planning to study abroad. Students can earn up to $500 per semester. Students may elect to have their earnings credited directly toward program costs. Employment assignments vary. Contact Shirley Oakley at soakley@cgcc.edu for more information.
Regents Global Ambassador Travel Grants: Qualified students with good leadership skills may apply for grants for up to $1000 for travel expenses for study abroad programs. Grant recipients will participate in service-learning activities with abroad as determined by Georgia's international education advisor or study abroad program director. Global Ambassadors promote Georgia's international education policy through public engagements with schools, civic organizations, local governments, businesses, and other groups. Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship for Undergraduate Study Abroad Gilman Scholarship Program The Institute of International Education (IIE) is pleased to announce the opening of the Fall 2004 application cycle for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. This congressionally-funded program is sponsored by the US Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. It is administered by IIE through its office in Houston, Texas. The program awards grants of up to $5,000 for US-citizen, undergraduate students to pursue study abroad opportunities worldwide.
