30.C - Student Financial Aid

The primary purpose of the financial aid program at Columbia Gorge Community College is to provide financial assistance to students who, without aid, would be unable to attend school. Financial assistance may be offered in the form of Federal grants, loans, and work study, State grants and scholarships, and local scholarships. Financial assistance is viewed only as supplementary as determined by need and/or merit; the student and the family of the students, when applicable, are expected to provide the primary source of assistance with educational expenses.
It is the policy of Columbia Gorge Community College to award financial aid in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and guidelines pertaining to the type of assistance requested.
