Master's Degree in subject area or a Master's Degree in a related area and 30 graduate hours in subject area are required. Resumes only will not be accepted. Non-smoking environment. Part-time faculty applications are accepted at all times for the faculty pool.

P/T English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Instructor

ESOL Department

Preferred applicants will have a Master’s degree in TESOL (or related field) OR Bachelor’s degree with TESOL / ESOL certification from accredited institutions and 3-5 years ESOL classroom experience working with underrepresented students/demonstrated competency in the field. Documented proof of eligibility required with application. Unofficial transcript accepted initially with official transcripts needed prior to employment. Teaching assignment may be at either Hood River or The Dalles campuses.

P/T Medical Assisting Instructor

Nursing/Health Occupations Department

Assists the Medical Assisting Program Director in the classroom, lab experience, and/or during externship experiences in the clinical setting as assigned. Possesses and applies knowledge of professional standards and state guidelines relevant to the performance of course content. Associate degree or higher; Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or RMA with permission); 3 years of experience as a medical assistant in an ambulatory care setting. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in a medical assisting training program.

P/T Nursing Clinical Instructor

Nursing/Health Occupations Department

Collaborates with the Nursing Program Faculty in organizing and carrying out structured learning processes for students in the Nursing Program.  Responsibilities may include clinical and/or skills lab as assigned by the Director of Nursing & Health Occupations. Participates in professional and college-related activities as directed. Possesses and applies knowledge of professional standards and state guidelines relevant to the performance of nursing instruction. BSN or enrolled in a BSN preparation program; current, unencumbered Oregon RN License; current CPR for Healthcare Provider card.

Additional preferred: Current, unencumbered Washington RN license. Two years current nursing practice required (acute care preferred).

Salary: $34.33/hr for clinical instruction and $21.97/hr for meeting/non-instructional time.
