Degrees and Certificates

Students completing the one-year certificate in Marketing are prepared to enter the marketing field as entry-level positions with firms in commerce, industry, and merchandising. Many of the students completing the certificate courses are ready to move into the second year of a two-year Marketing Associate degree program or a four-year bachelor degree program at a four year college or university.

BA 223 Principles of Marketing 4

Introduces the basic concepts of marketing for consumer and business markets. Includes topics in marketing mix, market segmentation, consumer behavior, marketing strategies, and market planning. Develops marketing plan for key project. Recommended: BA 101. Prerequisites: WR 115, RD 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement test scores. Audit available.
